If you are thinking of pursuing engineering courses or medical stream for your graduation, then you will have to pass any nationwide recognized entrance or competitive examination. You can either think of appearing in 12th board examination and the competitive examination for your graduation in the same year or you can pursue them in two consecutive years. One suggestion here would be to do the latter because entrance coaching in Kerala will help you to get a high score in both the examinations. When your concentration is divided into two courses, you will not be able to give your full dedication to any of the examinations.
Another suggestion here would be to approach a career counselor before appearing for the competitive examination. As the times of these examinations are almost closed, you should focus on at most three entrance examination and that too in the same genre(if possible). Earlier, state JEE conducted examinations both for engineering and medical courses. Now, JEE or joint entrance examination is for engineering only. NEET is conducted for medical courses. However, both examinations are conducted by NTA or National Testing Agency. JEE is conducted in the months of January and April(starting from 2019) and NEET is conducted in the month of May. Therefore, now you cannot think of appearing for both medical and engineering entrance examination in the same year. The chances are high that both your examinations will fetch you a low score. Therefore, approach a mentor for career guidance and get to know, which undergraduate course will suit you the most. Accordingly, you start preparing for the competitive examinations of that stream. Now, there is no harm in appearing for AIEEE and JEE in the same year. The syllabus and the question patterns are more or less similar. So, the more you practice, the higher you will score. Here is the list of competitor exams after 12 for your higher studies.
